- 1958 at the age of 16 apprenticeship in precision mechanic at Georg Neumann u. Co., Gefell
- 1963-66 qualified for engineer of BMSR at the school of engineering for precision mechanic Jena
- 1966-78 engineer of development at G. Neumann and RFT VEB Mikrofontechnik Gefell respectively:
1969: development of 1st condenser microphone amplifier MV690 in low frequency-bridge together with RFZ Berlin
Further cooperation on big-diaphragm capsule UM70, which belongs to „vintage“- microphone capsules today.
Moreover microphone preamp MV691, MV692 and MV740, the clip microphone AM740, the stereo microphone SM690 as well as the cardioid microphone capsules M73 have been developed. - 1976-1982 Qualification as graduate engineer for information engineering (Dipl. Ing.)
In summary results are over 20 years membership in Georg Neumann und Co. and VEB Mikrofontechnik Gefell respectively, over 15 years authorised repair shop of VEB MTG and Microtech Gefell GmbH respectively and additional over 15 years free workshop for studio microphones
